AquaLuxe Cushioned Shower Mat

Most shower mats ask you to choose between grip and comfort. The AquaLuxe refuses the trade: its surface is cushioned and flexible, noticeably softer than the hard rubber slabs sold for the same job, so standing on it through a long shower does not leave the soles of your feet aching. The give in the material also means it settles against an uneven tub base instead of rocking on the high points.

Drainage is built into the structure rather than added as an afterthought. Open channels run through the mat so water falls through on contact and heads for the drain, which keeps the top surface from turning into a shallow pool and cuts the slippery film that forms on solid mats. Underneath, a textured non-slip base holds position on smooth shower trays and bathroom floors, and the whole thing rinses through under the shower head in seconds.

Two sizes cover the usual layouts, with the compact option suited to a shower stall and the larger one wide enough to line the floor of a full bathtub; both come in grey or white. Hang it after use and it dries quickly. Worth noting: the non-slip base performs best on smooth, even floors, and on heavily textured or natural stone surfaces it has less to grip.
