AquaGuard Suction Shower Mat

A shower floor turns slick the moment water starts running, and a mat that slides is worse than no mat at all. The AquaGuard presses flat against smooth tubs and glazed tile through a full underside of suction cups, so it stays exactly where you put it for the length of a shower. Round drain holes run through the whole surface, letting water pass straight down to the floor instead of collecting in a warm puddle underfoot.

Underfoot the texture is a field of raised massage rings. They give bare feet something to hold on to and feel pleasant to stand on, which matters when you are balancing on one leg to wash a foot. The PVC is flexible rather than rigid, so it follows a curved tub base without buckling at the edges, and it comes in five colours across two sizes to suit standard bathtubs as well as walk-in shower stalls.

Cleaning takes no thought at all: pull it up, run it through the machine, hang it to dry, and it goes straight back down. One thing to know before ordering is that suction only works on smooth, non-textured surfaces such as glazed tile, acrylic and enamel. On textured stone, anti-slip coated floors or tiles with wide grout lines, the cups have nothing to seal against and the mat will not hold reliably.
