AquaStep Doormat

Wet shoes at a door create a specific hazard: water carried a few steps onto a hard indoor floor, where it is invisible and slippery. The AquaStep is designed to intercept it. A quick-drying absorbent weave takes on water at the threshold and traps dust and dirt from the soles of shoes at the same time, so what reaches the hallway beyond is meaningfully cleaner and drier.

Because the fibres release moisture quickly, the mat is not left saturated after a wet morning, which keeps it working through a rainy week rather than giving up after the first heavy day. The clean geometric pattern is colourfast and dirt-repellent, so it stays looking like a chosen piece rather than a worn-out one, and the non-slip construction keeps it securely in place across varied floor surfaces.

Three colours in grey, beige and coffee come in three sizes up to 80 by 120 centimetres, which is wide enough for a double doorway or a covered porch. Care is a shake, a vacuum or a rinse. One placement note: use it under cover when outdoors, because an absorbent mat left exposed to open rain will simply stay saturated and stop absorbing anything at all.
