COOLMATE Wireless Mini Fan

Personal cooling is a different problem from cooling a room, and the COOLMATE is built for the smaller one. It is a compact cordless fan meant to move air where you actually are: across a desk, beside a bed, at an office workstation or in a dorm room, and it comes with you when you move rather than staying tethered to the nearest wall socket.

A rechargeable battery gives up to eight hours of runtime, which covers a working day or a night without hunting for an outlet, and it charges over the included USB cable. Three speed settings let you pick between a barely-there breeze for sleeping and something with real force for a hot afternoon. The airflow rotates, which spreads the air across a close-range area instead of aiming a single fixed jet at one spot on your neck.

Controls are simple and physical, with nothing to configure before it works. The unit measures 25 by 25 by 30 centimetres and weighs about 1.5 kilograms, small enough to carry in a bag. Please note that the COOLMATE is a fan, not an air cooler: it circulates air for personal comfort and is not designed to cool an entire room.
